Discover my top 3 wallpaper trends for 2024

1.      Stripes are back.

Striped wallpapers have flowed in and out of fashion over the decades.   We might be about to see a resurgence in this trend.

Design by The Pure Edit, available in a Petite and Grande stripe, this pattern features vertical stripes painted by watercolour.  I prefer the bigger stripe with the overall effect of a softer, more laid-back look, which retains its sophistication.

Wide stone coloured vertical stripe wallpaper, the stripe is painted in watercolours giviing the edges a softer look, The paper is featured the top half of a bathroom wall with a mirror and walll lights either side of the mirror. The lower half of the bathroom wall features wooden cladding painted in an off white egg-shell.

 2.      Adults can have fun too.

This wallpaper is not what it seems!  It is a fun design, continuing the wallpaper trend for intricate patterns. The design is grown-up enough it should not be confined to a child's room.

The designer who created this must have had hours of fun. The paper features intricately detailed butterflies.  On closer inspection, they are composed of other things, including animals, hot air balloons, helter-skelters, birdcages and more. There are hours of entertainment here.

3.      Keeping tradition alive.

Inspired by nature, the trend for wallpaper that ground us in nature is still strong.

Wild Thing, Titania is a delicate flower pattern featuring spring’s apple blossom. The muted colours and soft pattern created an instant calming effect on me. All the wallpapers in the collection are made-to-order and produced using traditional techniques, with the colour pigments developed and then handblock printed onto the paper.
